ITT ELECTS WILBERTO MONTES DE OCA VICE PRESIDENT

 NEW YORK, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The election of Wilberto Montes de Oca as vice president of ITT Corporation was announced today by Rand V. Araskog, chairman, president and chief executive of ITT.
 Mr. Montes de Oca is director-Field Operations at ITT Headquarters in New York and reports to Travis Engen, executive vice president responsible for ITT's Manufactured Products businesses.
 Mr. Montes de Oca joined ITT in 1967 at STC Telecommunications in East Kilbride, Scotland. He then held engineering, planning and installation positions at ITT Telecommunications and industrial engineering and operations staffs positions in ITT's Latin America and Asia Pacific Groups. He was appointed to his current position in 1985.
 A native of Peru, Mr. Montes de Oca is a U.S. citizen and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the National University of Engineering in Lima, Peru and a master of business administration from the Inter American University in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
