SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, ITT AUTOMOTIVE AND MANAGING DIRECTOR, ITT TEVES
 AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Klaus G. Lederer has been appointed to the position of senior vice president, ITT Automotive and managing director, ITT Teves, a unit of ITT Automotive. ITT Teves is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. The appointment was announced by Timothy D. Leuliette, president and chief executive officer of ITT Automotive, Inc. and senior vice president of ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT), confirming the decision made by the Supervisory Board of ITT Teves GmbH.
 In his new position, Dr. Lederer will be responsible for all worldwide operations for ITT Teves. In announcing the appointment, Leuliette stated, "Dr. Lederer's experience and knowledge in all areas of the international automotive industry will make a significant contribution to ITT Teves and ITT Automotive. His strong background in engineering, manufacturing and general management with international companies, as well as direct experience in North America, will be especially beneficial to the continued growth of ITT Teves and ITT Automotive as a global supplier to the automotive industry."
 Leuliette added, "Dr. Lederer's experience and leadership skills, especially his participatory management style, will be invaluable as ITT Teves continues to expand both from a capabilities, as well as from a market share perspective." Dr. Lederer will begin his new position in June of this year.
 Dr. Lederer joins ITT Teves from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, an international company specializing in the design and manufacture of high-speed printing equipment. Dr. Lederer was a member of the managing board responsible for all technical matters and systems as well as for Harris Corporation, their North American subsidiary.
 Dr. Lederer formerly served as chairman of Harris Corporation in North America from its acquisition by Heidelberger, overseeing its successful integration, reorganization and subsequent turnaround.
 Prior to joining Heidelberger, Dr. Lederer was with BMW AG, Munich, serving in various management positions including head of factory planning and leader of production planning activities.
 Dr. Lederer is a graduate of Stuttgart Technical University, where he received his doctorate in engineering in 1977.
 ITT Teves, a pioneer in ABS and traction-control technology, is the world's largest independent brake systems manufacturer and has been a leader in the development and application of automotive braking technology for more than 80 years. ITT Teves recently announced the selection of Morganton, N.C., for its second ABS and traction-control assembly facility in North America.
