They instill necessary career skills in their students, while also prioritizing the importance of safety in all aspects of life. Dr. Larry D. Teverbaugh, Founder and CEO of CareerSafe, presented Love with the award at the ACTE Excellence Awards Banquet in San Antonio. Love said, "I am very thankful for the commitment to safety demonstrated by CareerSafe and ITEEA. It is such an important topic, and their efforts to support this initiative have benefited numerous students, teachers, and employers across the U.S."

Teacher Educator of the Year--Pete Gjovik, Valley City State University. This award recognizes teacher educators who have demonstrated innovation in teacher education, leadership in improving CTE, and commitment to preparing teachers to deliver high-quality CTE programs. Gjovik was one of five finalists for the 2019 national title, which he was awarded. The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) is the nation's largest not-for-profit association committed to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for successful careers.
