IT'S a wonder Michael Gove [...].

Byline: Kevin Maguire

IT'S a wonder Michael Gove doesn't bring back ink wells, outside toilets and rickets.

The Education Secretary repeatedly looks back instead of forward when it comes to pupils in England.

The GCSEs of my kids are better exams than the O-Levels of my school days.

Yet meddling Mickey's Govealaureate revives swotting at the expense of learning and knowledge.

The elitist Right never could decide if it wants most kids to succeed or fail.

GCSEs are mocked as so easy all kids need to do is write their name on the paper to pass.

Before the Right contradicts itself by complaining fewer than 60% leave school with five good GCSEs including English and Maths.

GCSEs weren't dumbed down but Gove's a dunce at education.
