ISRAMCO REPORTS DECISION TO TEST ADDITIONAL ZONES IN BESSOR-1; REPORTS ON ARRIVAL DATE OF BENREOCH RIG AND ON DEADLINE FOR STARTING YAM YAFO-1

 NEW YORK, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Isramco, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISRL) reported toady that the participants in the Bessor-1 well had announced that, in reference to the news release issued on Jan. 12, 1994, following detailed analysis of the electric logs carried out over the interval between approximately 10,300 feet and approximately 14,900 feet in the Bessor-1 well, it has been decided to conduct additional production tests in the above mentioned interval. Operations for conducting the tests have begun. These tests are in addition to the tests reported on Jan. 10.
 Isramco further announced that, concerning the announcement on Jan. 10 on the Yam Yafo-1 well, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure agreed to Isramco's request, and approved a change of the condition regarding resembled drilling dates in the Med Tel Aviv, Med Yavne, and Negev Ashqelon licenses, granting an extension to Feb. 10, 1994. Previously the deadline for spudding a well had been Jan. 15, 1994, however due to the stormy weather the BenReoch rig had been delayed in reaching the Yam Yafo-1 site. The extension was required to allow the rig time to arrive. According to a report received from the rig, the expected arrival time at the well location is Jan. 22, 1994.
