ISO Creates Alliance to Simplify Workers' Comp Data Reporting.
Insurance Services Office Inc. said it has formed a strategic affiance with HNC Insurance Solutions to provide insurers with a comprehensive workers' compensation data-reporting solution. The service, which is designed for insurers, self-insureds and third-party administrators, compiles premium and loss-transaction reports that workers' comp carriers are required to submit to state insurance regulators.
Through the alliance, ISO will gain access to HNC Insurance Solutions' AC-Web, an Internet-enabled electronic filing and reporting software that enables claims administrators to send reports of injury and medical payments to ISO for submission of state-mandated information to accident boards. ISO will have access to HNC's Trans-Connect, a developer's tool kit used to edit and reformat data from ISO's internal application formats to submit those reports electronically.
"What ISO is trying to provide to their carrier clients is a one-stop reporting solution," said John Falliers, chief financial officer of HNC Insurance Solutions. ISO and HNC also will work together to expand the acceptance of electronic data reporting in those states that currently use paper-based systems for receiving medical payment and injury information from insurers. "We think that by partnering with ISO, we will get out and provide the benefits of our technologies to users much faster and more efficiently."
