ISME and NAMM announce partnership.
ISME and NAMM share many goals, particularly the belief that every individual has a right to music education. Their audiences are also similar: both work closely with music educators, researchers, students, teachers and professional and amateur musicians throughout the world.
According to the new agreement, named the Memorandum of Understanding, ISME and NAMM will collaborate in the production of advocacy materials, share information, assist in disseminating information worldwide and participate in various activities to promote music making. By coordinating their efforts, both organizations hope to move closer to their shared goals of spotlighting the educational, social and health benefits of music education, as well as celebrating the joy of making music.
