ISG EXPANDS RELATIONSHIP WITH GE MEDICAL SYSTEMS

 MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- ISG Technologies, Inc. (ISG) (NASDAQ: ISGTF) today announced that it has signed an agreement with GE Medical Systems of Milwaukee, facilitating broader use of the ISG Imaging Applications Platform (IAP). This announcement follows the successful application of IAP in GE's Advance(TM) PET imager (positron emission tomography) introduced in December, 1992. GE now intends to make IAP available for development use in a broad range of its Diagnostic Imaging Equipment products.
 IAP is an industry leading approach to software development. It encompasses an Application Program Interface (API) and image processing tools, which greatly improve the productivity of medical imaging applications development through faster software development and greater re-usability. "This is a significant step for IAP, and we expect announcement of additional OEM relationships will help establish IAP as an industry standard," said Louis Leung, director of OEM Business, at ISG.
 GE Medical Systems is a world leader in diagnostic medical imaging. It has operations worldwide, with major facilities in Milwaukee, Tokyo, and Paris. GE is a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
 ISG Technologies, Inc., a Canadian company, designs, manufactures, markets, and supports visual data processing technology for the medical imaging market. The technology consists of proprietary software and parallel-processing accelerator hardware. Radiologists and surgeons use these systems to display, manipulate, and analyze two- and three- dimensional images of actual patient anatomy.
