ISCO ACQUIRES MINORITY OWNERSHIP IN GEOMATION

 LINCOLN, Neb., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Isco Inc. (NASDAQ: ISKO) announced that it has acquired a minority ownership in Geomation Inc., a privately held company in Golden, Colo.
 Geomation designs and manufactures distributed data collection, management, and control systems used in the environmental and geotechnical markets. Typical applications in the environmental market include the monitoring, analysis and control of surface and storm water flows. In the geotechnical market Geomation's products are used to monitor the performance of dams. At present, annual sales are in excess of $1.0 million.
 Isco has made a $0.5 million cash investment in Geomation for a minority equity position, and Douglas M. Grant, vice president of Isco, has been elected to Geomation's board of directors. Isco has the option to acquire 100 percent of the remaining equity in mid-1996. The cost of this remaining acquisition will be based on Geomation's future operating performance.
 Robert W. Allington, president of Isco, said, "Our investment in Geomation is a critical element in the strategy to build the monitoring and analysis capabilities of Isco's Environmental Division. The innovative products and technical capability of Geomation will provide us with a data management and control platform to meet evolving applications in storm water monitoring, parameter-based sampling, and combined sewer overflow studies.
 "I am pleased with our alliance with Isco," said John M. Klebba, founder and president of Geomation. "It will enhance our financial and strategic ability to develop the sales, marketing, and engineering programs necessary to increase our market penetration in the environmental and geotechnical markets."
 Isco manufactures water pollution monitoring equipment, and is the leading producer of wastewater samplers and open-channel flow measuring devices. Isco also manufactures chemical separation instruments for industrial, environmental and research use.
