ISC holds Yoga masterclass for women.

Tribune News Network Doha THE Indian Sports Centre (ISC), under the patronage of Embassy of India, recently conducted a master class of authentic Indian Yoga exclusively for women at the Oxygen Park in the Education City. The event was held in in association with Qatar Foundation and Qatar Museums as part of Qatar-India 2019 Year of Culture celebrations. Ms Ritu Kumaran, wife of the Indian Ambassador to Qatar HE P Kumaran, graced the event which saw participation of 80 women representing 30 nationalities. Ms Hend al Mousawi, senior supervisor, Recreations and Events Management at Qatar Foundation, actively supported and also participated in the session. The master class was led by Ms Nisha Agrawal, head of Yoga at Indian Sports Centre, along with her team of Yoga trainers. The master class was designed for female students of all levels and included a perfect mix of asana (the physical postures); pranayama, the breathing technique to regulate the breath and oxygenise the body; and dhyana, the meditation technique to revitalise the mind and help relieve stress.
