ANGELIC supermodels paraded in their pants last night to raise pounds 1.3million for the American Foundation for AIDS Research.Elizabeth Taylor and Sir Elton John joined a host of stars at the annual Cinema Against AIDS event in Cannes.
Catwalk queens including Karen Mulder, Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks modeled heavenly designs by lingerie and swimwear specialists Victoria's Secret.
The evening started with a screening of the new Kenneth Branagh movie Love's Labours Lost, followed by a speech by Taylor, AMFAR's founding chairman.
It also include a cocktail party, auction and dinner attended by actress Elizabeth Hurley and Silence Of The Lambs director Jonathan Demme, one of the judges at this year's festival. The event on the town's Palm Beach was broadcast live on the Internet around the globe.
Dame Elizabeth needed to be helped onto and off the podium to make her speech at the start of the show. She said: "Tonight we are approaching two million dollars - that's an awful lot of dough."
Sporting the medal she was presented with by the Queen last week, she added: "It's the best piece of jewellery I've got."
