IRT RECEIVES FIRST ORDER FOR SECURE 1000 SCANNERS; HIGH-TECH PERSONNEL SCREENING INTRODUCED IN MEXICO

 SAN DIEGO, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- IRT Corporation (AMEX: IX) today announced that the company received its first order for SECURE 1000(TM) Scanners. The order for four systems from the Mexican government was placed through IRT's distributor, Industrias ProData S.A. de C.V., for use in federal prisons. Delivery of the systems will commence in the spring of this year.
 "ProData is proud to be awarded this initial contract to supply the SECURE 1000 Scanners in Mexico," said Ernesto Lopez-Ortega, president of Industrias ProData. "We look forward to assisting the Mexican government in introducing this new, state-of-the-art personnel screening equipment into its high-security penitentiaries."
