IRS ANNOUNCES CORPORATE INCOME TAX RETURNS DUE MARCH 15

DALLAS, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Corporate income tax returns, 1120 or 1120-A, for calendar year 1992 are due along with any tax owed by March 15, 1993. S corporation returns, 1120S, also are due with any amount owed by the same date, an IRS spokesperson said today.
Both regular corporations and S corporations can apply for a six-month extension by filing Form 7004 and depositing the estimated amount of income tax owed by March 15, 1993.
Corporations choosing to be treated as S corporations beginning with calendar year 1993 must file Form 2553 by March 15, 1993. A late filed Form 2553 will result in S treatment beginning in 1994.
