IROQUOIS BANCORP ELECTS

 AUBURN, N.Y., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard J. Notebaert Jr., president and CEO of The Homestead Savings (FA) of Utica, N.Y., was recently elected vice president of Iroquois Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: IROQ), according to Iroquois President Robert J. Steigerwald. Iroquois is the Auburn-based holding company for Cayuga Savings Bank and The Homestead Savings (FA), community banks serving the Upstate New York counties of Cayuga and Oneida, respectively.
 Notebaert, associated with The Homestead Savings (FA) since February 1990, is a graduate of Notre Dame University and the SUNY Buffalo School of Law. He resides with his family in New Hartford, N.Y.
 Also, three other directors were re-elected to three-year terms by Iroquois shareholders at the company's annual meeting held last month in Auburn. William J. Humes, president of Auburn Steel Co., Inc.; Arthur A. Karpinski, retired from the practice of periodontics; and Henry D. Morehouse, owner of Morehouse Appliances Utica; will all continue as members of the holding company board of directors.
 Retiring board member Vincent M. Klein was recognized for his 24 years of service. Klein served as trustee for Cayuga Savings Bank since 1969 and as a director of Iroquois from 1990 to this year.
