IRISH DAILY Mirror COMMENT: Get tough on fallout danger.

BRITAIN'S ageing nuclear reactors present a terrible danger to Ireland and her people.

The fallout maps published today show the awful destruction an accident would visit on this country.

A disaster similar to Chernobyl would leave half of our land uninhabitable - forever.

The radiation charts show a disaster at the Wylfa reactor in North Wales, just 60 miles from Dublin, could force two million Irish people to flee their homes.

This dilapidated plant is crumbling but still Tony Blair believes nuclear power is the answer to Britain's future energy needs.

And every new plant increases the level of risk for Irish people.

Our Government must protest in the strongest possible terms to the UK authorities to have Wylfa and other deadly plants closed at once.
