IRISH DAILY Mirror: Church must do all it can to find pervs.

THE Pope has been getting a lot of flak lately.

If he's not being blamed for inciting unrest by quoting a history book, he's under fire on claims that he tried to bury child abuse in the Church.

His humble apology for the reference that angered Muslims all over the world may never be accepted by those extremists who take every utterance as a personal insult.

The Vatican has moved fast to deny reports that Pope Benedict, when he was a cardinal, drew up a master plan to protect paedophile priests.

We can expect a bit of double-talk from Papal advisers if they are operating a cover-up operation.

Panorama's explosive allegations have reignited the blistering debate about the Church's intensity in chasing down pervert priests.

Even if the claims have a grain of truth in them, the motives for broadcasting them may not be the purest.

But that doesn't mean they can be dismissed out of hand.

The shame and horror of clerical child abuse demands that nothing should be left unexplored.
