IRISH DAILY MIRROR COMMENT: Dirty wards a stain on us all.

IT'S bad enough having to wait in an endless queue just to get into hospital.

You don't expect to get sick after you get in there. The least they can do is keep the place clean.

And if it takes some dire threats to make them do it then that's the least they can expect.

Health professionals, as hospital staff like to call themselves, should always have hygiene on their minds.

There are some teams who take great pride in doing just that.

Their dedication to the seriously ill is an honour to them.

Doctors, nurses and ward cleaners, they all like what they are doing.

The scruffy minority should take their lead from such paragons.
