IREM scholarship money available.
Originally established in 1993, the George M. Brooker, CPM Memorial Scholarship Program was re-designed to assist local chapter Certified Property Manager candidates and Accredited Commercial Manager and Accredited Residential Manager applicants in earning their chosen IREM designation by awarding three scholarships per year, each consisting of the cost of tuition to attend one IREM educational course in Brooker's name. Certain eligibility requirements and restrictions apply.
The IREM Foundation also offers four different scholarship programs, providing partial tuition for up to three IREM courses in any delivery mode--classroom, home study or online.
Scholarships may be used for tuition only and do not cover the cost of application and registration fees, travel or books. Upon completion of a current scholarship, recipients may apply for additional scholarship money.
"IREM fully recognizes the financial strain of continuing education, especially in our current economy. At both the national and local levels, we are making every effort to assist those interested in furthering their education in property and asset management," said Dawn Carpenter, CPM and vice president of education for the Greater New York Chapter of IREM.
"An IREM designation is sought after by employers; it gives the edge needed to succeed in today's competitive environment."
