IREM lunch features Spitzer.
"Our membership is very interested to hear from one of New York State's most powerful and influential elected officials. We anticipate that this will be the largest turn-out of the year for our luncheon speaker series," said IREM Greater NY Chapter President Joe Scholes, CPM.
Prior to being elected in 1998 as the State's 63rd Attorney General, Mr. Spitzer spent six years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan DA's office, where he rose to Chief of the Labor Racketeering Unit and successfully prosecuted organized crime and political corruption cases. He has also held high-level positions at several law firms in the private sector.
The May 17 luncheon will be held at the Williams Club, 24 East 39th Street, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., with Attorney General Spitzer delivering his keynote address at 12:15 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door, but reservations are strongly recommended because of the interest that Mr. Spitzer is generating. Reservations can be made by contacting IREM administrator Sheila Still at 944-9445.
