IRAN, ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF,NAMIBIA : Rostam Qasemi emphasizes on cooperation with Namibia in the oil industry.

Rostam Qasemi, Iran's minister of petroleum, emphasized on cooperation with Namibia in the oil industry during a meeting with Namibia's foreign minister Utoni Nujoma and mines and energy minister Isak Katal.

Qasemi stated that Iran is prepared to export engineering and technical services to Namibia along with bringing up a 60 thousand barrels oil refinery in the nation.

The Iranian minister added that Iran s private sector would participate in setting up the refinery with support from the petroleum ministry.

In return, the foreign minister and mining and energy minister of the African country welcomed Iran's cooperation in the oil sector.

Namibian mining and energy minister, Isak Katali stated : 'Namibia is not an oil producing country but is willing to benefit from the Islamic Republic of Iran s experiences through cooperation in building an oil refinery in our country.'
