IOSCO endorses IFAC auditing standards.

The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) officially has endorsed international statements on auditing issued by the International Federation of Accountants' international auditing practices committee. IOSCO said the statements represent a comprehensive set of auditing standards and audits conducted in accordance with them can be relied on by securities regulatory authorities for multinational reporting purposes.

IOSCO recommends its members take all steps necessary and appropriate in their respective jurisdictions to accept audits conducted in accordance with the statements for cross-border offerings and continuous reporting by foreign issuers.
