IOMEGA NAMES NEW CEO

 ROY, Utah, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Iomega Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: IOMG) today announced the appointment of Kim B. Edwards as president and chief executive officer of the company, effective Jan. 1, 1994. Mr. Edwards will succeed Fred Wenninger who served as the company's chief executive officer from May 1989 to October 1993.
 Edwards has served as president and chief executive officer of Gates Energy Products Inc. since 1992, and prior to 1992 served for over five years in various executive positions in that company. Formerly, he was employed for over 18 years at General Electric Co., where his last position was manager of Marketing and Sales of General Electric's Battery Division, prior to its sale to Gates in 1984.
 While at Gates Energy Products Inc., he managed a company with over 3,000 employees in six divisions with two domestic and three international plants supporting a $250 million global rechargeable battery products business. In that capacity, he has had significant experience in marketing products to a wide range of industries, including the computer, portable communications and telecommunications industries.
