IOMEGA CORP. ANNOUNCES PENDING RESIGNATION OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

 ROY, Utah, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- IOMEGA Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: IOMG) announced today the pending resignation of Fred Wenninger as president and chief executive officer of the company. Wenninger has agreed to stay on for an indefinite period while the company's board of directors seeks a replacement. Wenninger pointed out to the board that the markets for Iomega's products have become increasingly competitive in recent years, particularly on a price basis, and recommended the board recruit a chief executive officer with a strong background in product marketing and/or corporate strategy.
 David Dunn, chairman of the board of directors of the company, stated that "the entire board regrets Mr. Wenninger's pending departure" and indicated that the board has asked him to remain as a member of Iomega's board. He said, "The board would do everything possible to recruit another outstanding CEO to continue the growth and enhance the profitability of Iomega."
 Dunn expressed the board's appreciation of the many contributions Wenninger has made to Iomega and, in particular, the work he has done in the TQC area and said that he had "never worked with an executive whom he admired more or had greater respect for than Fred Wenninger."
