IOK traders extend support to strike call for tomorrow.
Srinagar -- In occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) and Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) have extended support to the strike call given by joint resistance leadership against India's plans to abrogate Article 35A of Indian Constitution which confers special rights and privileges to permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
The KTMF President, Mohammad Yaseen Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the traders were ready to face bullets in order to protect the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. 'It will be all out war if Indian government tinkers with Article 35A. It is a matter of life and death for us,' he said.
Mohammad Yaseen Khan who is also Chairman of KEA while expressing his support to the strike call said, 'Business community be it traders, hoteliers or transporters are ready to sacrifice their lives to protect the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. RSS-backed Indian government is using all dirty tactics to take away special status but we won't let it happen.'
He said that PDP-BJP regime had done immense harm to the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. 'First they implemented GST then Statistics Bill and now attempts are being made to tinker Article 35A,' he pointed out.
Mohammad Yaseen Khan urged the business community to observe complete shutdown on Saturday (August 12) on the call given by the joint resistance leadership.
