INTERTEL COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGE DENVER, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Intertel Communications Inc.
(AMEX: ITR.EC) today announced the retirement of George Bruno as president of its subsidiary, Denver Teleport Inc. (TDI). Bruno's responsibilities will be assumed by Joe Moreland, president of Teleport Denver Ltd. (TDL).
"Mr. Bruno has spent the last six years guiding the company from its beginning up to the viable business we have today," said W.W. "Bill" Becker, president and chairman of Intertel. "All of us at the company want to express our thanks for his many contributions to our business." As president of TDI, Bruno was responsible for all United States operations of Intertel, including its operating subsidiary, TDL. Intertel is the first publicly traded alternate local access company and full service teleport in the United States. The company recently completed a 115-mile fiber-optic digital network in the Denver metropolitan area. The all-digital network is operational and is in front of an estimated $200 million market in Denver. The network offers a competitive choice to the local telephone company in connecting businesses to businesses, businesses to their long-distance company, or long-distance companies to their other local locations. The teleport facility provides domestic satellite uplink services and end-to-end global connectivity with the company's fiber-optic network. -0- 7/17/92 /CONTACT: Gordon Blankstein of Intertel, 800-667-4366/ (ITR) CO: Intertel Communications Inc.; Denver Teleport Inc.; Denver Teleport Ltc.
