 INTERTAPE POLYMER GROUP OF MONTREAL, QUEBEC BRINGS INITIAL
 PUBLIC OFFERING TO THE AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE
 NEW YORK, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange announced today that Intertape Polymer Group Inc. of Montreal, Quebec, began trading its common stock in an initial public offering. Trading under ticker symbol ITP, the stock opened on 64,600 shares at 8-7/8.
 This Canadian corporation develops, manufactures and sells a variety of specialized polyolefin plastic packaging products for industrial use. These products include carton sealing tape, woven products, and packaging and display cases. The company's principal market is in North America, with a large percentage of sales made in the United States.
 The American Stock Exchange is the second largest securities exchange in the United States and the largest American exchange with significant markets in both equities and derivative products. Today, it is an international institution on the cutting edge of trading floor technology, new product development and expansion into world markets through system linkages and globally traded products.
