INTERSOLV Expands Board of Directors; Experience Augments International and Internet Strategies

ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- INTERSOLV (Nasdaq: ISLI), the leader in application enablement software, today announced the appointment of Michel Berty and Craig Roos to the INTERSOLV board of directors effective November 21, 1996.

Mr. Berty is chairman and chief executive officer of CAP GEMINI America, the U.S. subsidiary of CAP GEMINI S.A., one of the largest information technology (IT) consulting firms in the world. In 24 years with CAP GEMINI, Mr. Berty held many senior executive and general management positions throughout Europe and the United States. He was a driving force in the rapid expansion of the global IT professional services industry. He received a M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Paris la Sorborne in 1961 and 1965, respectively, and an M.B.A. in 1966 from the University of Paris Law (I.A.E.).

Mr. Roos served as the initial chairman from 1993 to 1995 of MobileMedia Communications, Inc., one of the largest providers of paging services worldwide, and still serves on its board of directors. He currently is chairman and chief executive officer of Locate, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MobileMedia Communications. Mr. Roos is also on the board of AccessLine Technologies, Inc., Prepay USA, Inc. and the American Paralysis Association. Mr. Roos has more than 24 years experience in high technology and investment banking. Prior to his 13 years in various capacities at Locate and MobileMedia Communications including roles as chairman, chief executive officer, president and chief financial officer, Mr. Roos was president and chief executive officer of Roos Capital Planners, an investment banking firm specializing in the communications industry. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Davis and Elkins College and an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
