INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORP. AWARDED NEESA COMBINED WASTE CONTRACT
 TORRANCE, Calif., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- International Technology Corp. (IT) (NYSE: ITX) announced today the award of a Naval Environmental and Energy Support Activity (NEESA) Combined Waste Contract. This indefinite delivery order contract requires the removal and/or remedial actions for cleanup of Navy and Marine Corps hazardous waste sites nationwide. The award has an estimated value of $15 million and will be executed over a five-year period. Additional future funding may be available.
 The scope of remedial work will vary based upon the types and level oF contaminants identified at the individual sites. Combined waste may include, among other things, plastics, glass, petroleum products, paints and solvents. The anticipated remedial actions may include treatment of soil, water and air and provide for a broad range of comprehensive technologies.
 Murray H. Hutchison, chairman and chief executive officer, stated, "This recent NEESA contract award, combined with two previous awards, totals $40 million of potential work related to Navy and Marine Corps sites."
