 OF POLLUTION CONTROL ENGINEERING DIVISION
 TORRANCE, Calif., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- International Technology Corp. (IT) (NYSE: ITX) today announced the formation of a Pollution Control Engineering Division (PCE) to focus on engineered solutions to pollution prevention and control requirements imposed on industrial and governmental facilities. The Pollution Control Engineering Division will provide a comprehensive engineering service for thermal treatment, including design and supply of solid hazardous waste incineration systems, waste minimization, waste water treatment, hazardous waste treatability analyses and toxic air emission controls. Brian J. Baxter has been appointed division director, and Eugene C. McGill will be technical director for the division.
 PCE, headquartered at IT's facilities in Knoxville, Tenn., brings the company's process engineering groups and related functions into a single operating unit. The division will incorporate IT's thermal engineering practice in Knoxville and Tulsa, Okla., with its waste water process engineering group, and its waste treatability laboratory groups. Services provided will include: engineering consulting, waste auditing, conceptual engineering, process optimization, detailed design, system integration and implementation and start-up and operational support.

"IT intends to take the lead in this emerging market by integrating its extensive process engineering and treatability testing capabilities into a single operating division dedicated to providing comprehensive pollution control solutions for its clients."
