 INTERNATIONAL FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT REPORTS RESULTS
 VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- International Family


Entertainment, Inc. reports increases in revenues, operating income and net income for the first quarter of 1992 as compared to the first quarter of 1991.
 The company owns and operates The Family Channel, an advertiser- supported basic cable television network, which is seen in approximately 55.3 million households.
 As previously announced, The Family Channel (NYSE: FAM) realized significant increases in prime-time ratings for the first quarter as measured by A.C. Nielsen Media Research. The Monday-through-Sunday 6-10 p.m. rating was 1.1, an increase of 22 percent over last year's 0.9 rating.
 Revenues for the first quarter of 1992 are $32.1 million as compared to $27.6 million in 1991, an increase of $4.5 million, or 16.3 percent. Operating income rose $1.5 million, or 16.1 percent, and net income rose $1.6 million, or 28.2 percent.
