INTERNATIONAL CONSORT INDUSTRIES ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN-WIDE ROLL-OUT OF SUPER COOL SYSTEM

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Harry Bygdnes, president of International Consort Industries Inc. (OTC: ICIDF; Vancouver: IKI) today reported national roll-out of the Super Cool System into the retail grocery and convenience store marketplace.
The major merchandising program, initiated between Cryopak Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of ICII and Coca-Cola Bottling, a division of the Coca-Cola Co., will utilize the Super Cool System as a vehicle for national point-of-purchase promotion of leading beverage brands such as Coca-Cola Classic, Diet Coca-Cola, Always Coca-Cola and Sprite.
According to Connie Waltz, sales manager for Coca-Cola Bottling Ltd. of Vancouver, "We are extremely enthused with the results achieved from our major in-store test program. Throughout the promotion we were able to reduce costs while increasing sales volume by over 25 percent. As a result, we are now incorporating the Super Cool System as an integral part of our national store level, point- of-purchase strategy for 1993 and beyond."
Full scale distribution of the Super Cool System has begun between Cryopak Corp. and the Coca-Cola Co. across Canada and the West Coast of the United states with plans to proliferate sales on a city-by-city basis nationwide.
Bygdnes stated, "The strategic alliance with Coca-Cola Foods provides ICII with the opportunity for full sale distribution and product awareness on a national basis.
"The company will continue to test market commercial and industrial applications of Coolermat. We are currently conducting tests with several major companies which require shipment of refrigerated and temperature-sensitive items. After an extended period of strategic planning and defining of mass merchandising uses, the company expects significant revenue increases this fiscal year."
Cryopak is an internationally distributed reusable ice substitute product. International Consort Industries continues to expand product distribution in the retail, industrial shipping, medical and grocery industries.
