 INTERMEDIA AFFILIATE ACQUIRES COOKE MEDIA GROUP
 SAN FRANCISCO, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- InterMedia Partners today


announced that the stock of Cooke Media Group Inc. has been acquired by Robin Cable Systems II Inc., an InterMedia company.
 The operating assets of the former Cooke Media Group, which has been renamed Robin Media Group Inc. are two cable television systems serving approximately 75,000 customers in Tennessee.
 Robin Cable Systems II Inc. is owned by Sacramento (California) cable television executive Frank Washington and InterMedia Partners, V, L.P. Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
 The acquisition brings to approximately 400,000 the number of cable television customers served by the various InterMedia companies. Formed in 1988, the InterMedia companies now operate a total of 13 cable systems in the states of Arizona, California, Georgia, Hawaii, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
 Robin Media Group will serve approximately 47,000 customers in areas surrounding Knoxville and another 28,000 customers in areas surrounding Nashville.
 In the eastern portion of the state, the company will do business as East Tennessee CableVision. It will serve the communities of Alcoa, Maryville, Crossville, Rogersville, Gatlinburg, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Lenoir City, Sweetwater, Blount and Madisonville, as well as certain unincorporated areas of Blount, Cumberland, Hawkins, Loudon and Knox counties.
 In the mid-state area, the company will do business as Tennessee Valley CableVision, serving the communities of Brentwood, Franklin, Nolensville, Fairview, Centerville, Hohenwald, Mount Pleasant, Greenbrier, La Vergne and Ridgetop, as well as certain unincorporated areas of Williamson, Hickman, Robertson and Rutherford counties.
 Volunteer CableVision, another InterMedia company already serves approximately 45,000 customers in the western portion of Tennessee.
