INTERLINQ BECOMES MEMBER OF MICROSOFT SOLUTION PROVIDERS PROGRAM; NEW MORTAGAGE LOAN SERVICING SYSTEM BEING DEVELOPED FOR WINDOWS

KIRKLAND, Wash., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- INTERLINQ Software Corp. (NASDAQ: INLQ), developers of MortgageWare(R) software for residential mortgage loan management, today announced its acceptance as a member of the Microsoft(R) Solution Providers program. This coincides with INTERLINQ's announcement that its new mortgage loan serving system is being developed for the Microsoft Windows(TM) operating system.
As a Microsoft Solution Provider, INTERLINQ will have direct access to Microsoft tools and information as well as early access to Microsoft products. INTERLINQ president Bob Delf said, "We have built our reputation on outstanding customer service as well as product excellence. Being a Microsoft Solution Provider will help us stay in the forefront of our industry. Our customers will benefit from sofware products that incorporate the latest in technology."
"We're pleased to have the mortgage banking industry so well-represented in our group of Solution Providers," said Michael Rawding, marketing manager, financial services industry marketing at Microsoft.
INTERLINQ's new loan servicing system is scheduled for release the fourth quarter of 1994. The majority of companies currently servicing the approximately 40 million mortgages in the United States are utilizing primarily expensive service bureaus and mainframe and minicomputer systems. However, advances in technology have made it possible to process large and complex applications (such as loan servicing) on PC-based systems. Downsizing from older, more expensive systems will generate financial benefits to loan servicers as well as enable them to take advantage of the tremendous functionality now available on PC-based systems. According to Delf, "We believe that loan servicing represents a promising new product opportunity, and the fact that it is being written for the Windows operating system makes it especially easy to use and an attractive alternative to loan servicing systems that are currently available."
INTERLINQ has been exclusively dedicated to the development, sale and support of PC-based software products for the residential mortgage lending industry since 1982. MortgageWare is currently installed in over 4,000 locations throughout the United States, plus Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. INTERLINQ trades on the NASDAQ market under the symbol INLQ.
