INTERFACE ELECTS MILTON AS DIRECTOR, UNIFIES INTERESTS IN ASIA-PACIFIC
 LaGRANGE, Ga., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Interface, Inc. (NASDAQ: IFSIA) announced today the election of David Milton to its board of directors.
 Since Jan. 1, 1992, Milton has held the position of president and chief executive officer of Interface Asia-Pacific, Inc., the company's recently created subsidiary, which unifies all of Interface's interests in Japan, China, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and the islands of the Pacific.
 Prior to his appointment as president of Interface Asia-Pacific, Inc. Milton served as executive counsel to the board of Interface, Inc., with responsibility for Interface Heuga-Japan, Ltd., the company's Japanese carpet tile sales subsidiary. For 13 years previously, he was an independent consultant, and in his earlier career, held executive positions with Private Investment Company for Asia (PICA) S.A., Ralston Purina International, Western International Investment Co., Ltd., the U.S. State Department, and Merck Sharp & Dome International.
 Milton is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and holds an MBA degree from Harvard University.
 Commenting on Milton's appointment and the reorganization of the Asia-Pacific region, Interface's chairman, Ray C.  Interface, Inc. is the world's largest manufacturer of carpet tiles under the Interface and Heuga brands, and interior fabrics under the Guilford of Maine brand, for use in offices, health care facilities, airports, educational and other institutions, and retail facilities. The company also manufactures carpet tiles for residential use. In addition, the company engages in the manufacture and sale of chemicals used in various rubber and plastic products, and offers Intersept(R), the company's proprietary antimicrobial chemical, under a licensing program to manufacturers of other products.
