INTERDIGITAL RECEIVES PURCHASE ORDERS FROM SOUTHWESTERN BELL AND VISTA TELEPHONE COMPANY

 KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- InterDigital Communications Corporation (AMEX: IDC) announced today that it has received two separate purchase orders from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and Vista Telephone Company of Minnesota for UltraPhone(R) Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) digital wireless radiotelephone systems.
 This is the 13th UltraPhone system ordered by Southwestern Bell in support of its Rural Development Program and will service subscribers in Uvalde, Texas.
 The Vista Telephone Company order initially provides for the installation of one UltraPhone system to service subscribers in Ivanhoe, Minn., in 1993. Don Garretson, regional vice president, Domestic Sales for InterDigital, said, "InterDigital is very pleased to have Vista Telephone Company as a new customer. We welcome the opportunity to provide Vista with excellent subscriber service using the advantages of digital wireless access."
