INTERDIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVES INITIAL RUSSIAN ORDER

 KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- InterDigital Communications Corporation (AMEX: IDC) announced today that it has received its first order for UltraPhone(R) Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) digital radiotelephone systems in the Russian Republic.
 The order, which is subject to completion of financing arrangements and final equipment specification, is anticipated to be valued at approximately $1.1 million and installed in the first half of 1994.
 InterDigital has been working with potential customers in the Russian Republic to identify and develop special applications for UltraPhone. Additional negotiations are in process concerning applications similar to this order, although there is no assurance that such negotiations will result in any further orders.
 InterDigital is a world leader in TDMA and Broadband-Code Division Multiple Access (B-CDMA) technology. Its UltraPhone TDMA digital wireless radiotelephone system is ordered or installed in more than 175 locations worldwide.
