DALLAS, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Intellicall, Inc. (NYSE: ICL), a diversified telecommunications company, today announced that Thomas A. Floerchinger has joined the company as senior vice president and chief financial officer. In addition, Robert R. During the past 20 years, Floerchinger has held positions as chief financial officer with a number of publicly traded and private companies, including Entre Computer Center, Inc., Harman International, and Advant, Inc., all of which experienced rapid growth during his tenure.
"Thomas Floerchinger brings a high level of financial planning and control expertise to his new role with our company, and we expect his skills to be a tremendous asset as we pursue our aggressive growth strategy in the coming years," said R. Stephen Polley, president and chief executive officer. "In following Rob Davenport as CFO, he inherits a well-organized and responsive department that has become integrally involved in the ongoing operations of our business."
According to Polley, Davenport will head up a new corporate development function that will drive product development, strategic marketing, and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, in his role as corporate treasurer, he will manage Intellicall's lines of credit and other capital funding requirements.
"Rob has done an outstanding job as CFO in building a highly capable team of professionals in our finance and administration area and in helping the company achieve its objectives," said Polley. "We're delighted to have him in a position to take even greater advantage of his business development capabilities."

"I'm looking forward to working jointly with Rob to manage the growth of Intellicall from the finance and development sides of the business," said Floerchinger. "My previous experience in financial planning and control, particularly with companies in the technology sector, will serve me well in this capacity."
Davenport was founder and general partner of Crossroad Partners in New York, an investment and financial advisory firm, before joining Intellicall in 1990. Previously, he was director of business development with TLC Beatrice International, Inc., a multinational food company in New York. "I am excited about my new responsibilities in the business development and treasury areas," said Davenport. "Working closely with Tom, my objective is to guide Intellicall as the company expands into new markets and internationally."
Polley added, "Under the leadership of Rob and Tom, Intellicall has assembled a financial team that represents a strong balance between the planning and control functions of our business. With the depth of management we now have in place, we are solidly positioned to achieve our growth objectives."
