INTEGRATED LABS ISSUES ANNOUNCEMENT

NEW YORK, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated Labs, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ITLB) of New York City announced that they have acquired exclusive worldwide rights to an array of environmental technologies from Safe Alternatives Corporation (SAC) of Ridgefield, Conn.
The licensing agreement includes, but is not limited to, the right to use, sell, market, sublicense, lease, assign, and distribute SAC's technologies. Integrated also gains the right of first refusal on all future SAC technologies.
Integrated reported that the principal technologies include processes for the use of gamma irradiation for the high-speed sterilization of medical waste and for arresting the biodegradation of petroleum products, various patents for the preparation of polyurethane flame-retarded foams with many commercial applications, a sludge-foam intermix process designed to treat municipal and industrial sludge, an enviro-friendly process to break down polyethelene and polystyrene into liquid and methods for recycling plastics.
According to Integrated, the agreement with SAC establishes a strategic partnership relationship between the two companies involving research and development, new product development and joint marketing activities. Integrated's management is impressed with the scientific, regulatory and market development capabilities of SAC and views the licensing agreement as a major milestone in their business plan.
SAC's president, Stephen Thompson, "feels confident that we'll be able to accelerate timetables for bringing new products to market as a result of the agreement. Specifically, in conjunction with Integrated we expect to complete the manufacturing and testing of the biosterilization equipment in 1993. We believe that our process will provide 100 percent sterilization and set a new industry standard." Integrated expects biosterilization equipment orders within the next three to four months.
SAC also reported that marketing of the flame retarded foams is already underway. Orders are expected for packaging applications in the first quarter with deliveries beginning in the second quarter. Thompson believes that the foams may produce significant revenues during the next 12 months.
The enviro-friendly foams use water as a blowing agent, contain no freons and maintain their structure when exposed to high temperatures. They can be produced in rigid, semi-rigid and flexible forms in a factory or on-site. Marketing is being directed to the packaging, insulation, aerospace and automotive industries.
