 INSTRUCTIONS FOR EMERGENCY WATER DISINFECTION
 OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- To purify drinking water


in emergency situations when boiling water 1 minute is not possible:
 Filter water or let suspended water particles settle out. Pour off clean water and add Clorox(R) Liquid Bleach as recommended below. Wait 30 minutes. Water should have a slight chlorine odor. If not, repeat dose and wait 15 minutes, then sniff again.
 Use only Regular Clorox Bleach (not Fresh Scent or Lemon Fresh Clorox Bleach).
 -- 1/2 teaspoon Regular Clorox Bleach per 5 gallons water
 -- 8 drops Regular Clorox Bleach per gallon
 -- 2 drops Regular Clorox Bleach per quart.
 Note: if water is cloudy, double the recommended dosage of Regular Clorox Bleach.
