INSIGNIA'S SHULER TO LEAD NATIONAL APARTMENT ASSOCIATION

 GREENVILLE, S.C., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas R. Shuler, president of Insignia Management Group, L.P. (IMG) will be installed as the 1994 president of the National Apartment Association (NAA) Saturday evening, Oct. 30, at a dinner dance in Charleston's (S.C.) Omni Hotel.
 Shuler, a former NAA board member, will take office Jan. 1, presiding over the largest, nation-wide, non-profit trade association devoted solely to the needs of the apartment industry. Based in Washington, D.C., NAA is a federation of local and state associations of owners, builders, investors, developers, managers and allied service representatives of the rental housing business.
 A 23-year veteran of the property management field, Shuler joined IMG in 1991 as executive vice president. In his previous executive positions, Shuler worked with Hall Financial Group, Inc., Dallas, Texas; W.R. Schulz, Phoenix; Telegraphix, Inc., Scottsdale, Ariz.; Creative Hospitality, Inc., Prom Motor Hotels, Inc. and Arthur Andersen and Company, all of Kansas City, Mo.
 A native of Kansas City, Shuler earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri. He is married to the former Rebecca Gaylord, and they have two daughters, Amy and Kristin. He also has two sons, Tom and Todd.
