INLINE SOFTWARE SELECTS DAVIDSON & ASSOCIATES INC. FOR EDUCATIONAL DISTRIBUTION OF SWAMP GAS TITLES

TORRANCE, Calif., and LAKEVILLE, Conn., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Inline Software has selected Davidson & Associates Inc. (NASDAQ: DAVD) to distribute educator versions of the company's "Swamp Gas(TM)" titles into the educational channel, both companies announced today.
Inline is the publisher of two award-winning geography games: "Swamp Gas Visits the USA" and "Swamp Gas Visits Europe." Both products feature the alien Swamp Gas, who explores the world in a series of entertaining missions and arcade-style games. The programs are available for children ages 5 and up in Macintosh format. A Windows version of "Swamp Gas Visits the USA" will begin shipping in the fall of 1993.
The agreement with Davidson will provide distribution of these titles into the education market. Teacher materials -- such as lesson plans, activity sheets, and suggestions for incorporating the software into the classroom curriculum -- will be included in teacher packs ($69.95) and lab packs ($179.95). They will be available through educational software resellers such as Learning Services, Fas-Track and Educational Resources (Davidson's independently run division that provides educational software to schools).
Consumer versions of these software packages are currently available through most major computer and software retailers nationwide at suggested retail prices of $49.95 ("Swamp Gas Visits the USA") and $59.95 ("Swamp Gas Visits Europe").
 Davidson Affiliated Label Program
Inline Software joins several other software companies in Davidson's Affiliated Label Program, which provides sales, marketing and distribution support to third-party publishers. Affiliated label companies include Creative Pursuits, Europress, Lawrence Productions, Maxis, The Software Toolworks and 3DI. SWeDE also joined the Affiliated Label Program today.
Said Bob Davidson, chairman and chief executive provider of Davidson & Associates Inc., "We're pleased that our affiliated label program continues to grow and that Inline has joined other highly regarded companies such as Maxis and The Software Toolworks. With Inline Software as part of the program, users in the school market can now purchase even more titles for teaching geography and helping students develop problem-solving skills."
Adds Darryl Peck, president of Inline Software, "We believe there is an enormous potential for our `Swamp Gas' products in the educational channel. There is no one better than Davidson & Associates to accomplish this for us."
