INITIAL ACCEPTANCE OF LARSON-DAVIS ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING
 INSTRUMENTATION EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
PROVO, Utah, June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian G. Larson, president and CEO of Larson-Davis Inc. (NASDAQ: LDII), reported to shareholders at the annual meeting held June 5, 1992, that initial acceptance of the newly introduced environmental monitoring instrumentation has far exceeded expectations. "Technology developed for airport monitoring systems has been applied to acoustic analysis needs in various fields. Within the past 45 days, Larson-Davis has received orders from chemical manufacturing plants, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy, along with domestic and international airports which exceed $1.6 million in value. These orders are significant because they demonstrate the broad market demand for the new products. The equipment manufactured to fulfill these orders, for the most part, was still under development only 18 months ago."
Larson also indicated that yet-to-be-released products, the Model 2800 and the Model 2900 Acoustic Analyzers, will begin commercial shipment by the end of June. "We have never experienced the volume of pre-orders for any Larson-Davis instruments as we have with the 2800 and 2900. The company anticipates record revenues for the current fiscal year."
Larson-Davis Inc. is engaged in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of precision measuring instrumentation; and the design and marketing of computer software products based on a full text database indexing search and retrieval sold under the trade name of InfoQue.
