INFONETICS RESEARCH REPORTS RBOC CAPEX 2003 SPENDING DROPS 9%.

Infonetics Research's latest market research report, "Service Provider Roll Call and CapEx Analysis, North America 2003," shows that RBOCs are expected to spend $23.3 billion in 2003, a 9% drop from their 2002 capital expenditures, representing a capex-to-revenue ratio of 16%, more in line with historical norms than the 28% in 2001.

The report tracks RBOCs, CLECs, ILECs, IOCs, IXCs, and MSOs in the US and Canada, providing capital expenditure analysis and up-to-date information on 104 facilities-based service providers and the services they offer, including Comcast, KMC Telecom, Sprint, SureWest, TDS Telecom, Telus, Time Warner Telecom, Verizon, Virtela, and WilTel Communications.
