INFINITI SALES UP 30 PERCENT IN FEBRUARY

CARSON, Calif., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- For the sixth consecutive month, Infiniti posted monthly year-ago sales increases according to figures released today by the luxury car division of Nissan Motor Corp. USA.
Infiniti racked up February sales of 3,242, an increase of 30.4 percent (daily sales rate) over sales of 2,589 for the corresponding period last year and a 24.6 percent (daily sales rate) increase over sales of 2,710 in January. February sales per dealer of 25 maintained the division's position among the sales per outlet leaders in the luxury car segment, ahead of both Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Jaguar.
In February, the G20 was recognized in a study conducted by IntelliChoice (a San Jose, Calif.-based independent automotive product information company) of more than 800 models of 1993 cars and light trucks as the "Best Import Car Value Over $13,000."
"From J.D. Power and Associates' best overall car line in initial quality ranking to IntelliChoice's Best Values, Infiniti products continue to garner accolades for their outstanding quality and value," said William R. Bruce, Infiniti vice president and general manager. "Most importantly, our customers continue to tell us that they're extremely satisfied with their purchase of an Infiniti product."
Sales by model included 694 Q45 performance luxury sedans, 1,325 J30 personal luxury sedans, 31 M30 luxury sports coupes and 1,192 G20 luxury sports sedans. Calendar year-to-date sales in 1993 were 5,952, an increase of 18.3 percent over sales of 5,032 for the corresponding period in 1992.
