INDIVIDUAL ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF PHILLIPS BUSINESS INFORMATION, IO PUBLISHING, AND OIL DAILY NEWSLETTERS AS NEW SOURCES FOR ITS SERVICES

 CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Individual, Inc. today announced the addition of Phillips Business Information's international newsletters as a new information source for its customized news products, "First!" and "HeadsUp." Two other new sources, Io Publishing's "BioWorld" and three newsletters from The Oil Daily Co., were also added. With these additions, Individual's total source pool for its customized news services climbs to over 300 unique databases, newspapers, wire services and publications from around the world.
 The agreement with Phillips includes more than 40 newsletters that cover a broad range of industries including: telecommunications; media; banking automation; data communications; defense; and aviation. Some of the newsletters that will now be a part of Individual's service include: "Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) Report;" "Video Marketing News;" "Mobile Satellite News;" "Bank Automation News;" "Broadband Networking News;" "Data Channels;" "Defense Marketing International;" and "World Airline News."
 In announcing these new sources, Majed Tomeh, vice president of editorial and operations at Individual, stated, "Phillips Business Information's newsletters have a reputation for excellence in the markets they serve, and represent a significant new enrichment to our portfolio of sources. Given the broad range of topics and the depth of coverage that each newsletter brings, all of our customers will benefit from at least one of these newsletters," Tomeh said.
 Tomeh noted that subscribers to Individual's customized news services, "First!" and "HeadsUp," will receive the benefit of these new sources without additional service fees or subscription contracts. He added that by joining the family of Individual's information providers, Phillips will leverage its editorial investment by earning incremental revenues from Individual's customer base of over 20,000 readers worldwide.
 Individual also announced the addition of Io Publishing's "BioWorld," which will provide valuable news in the fast changing biotechnology market, and three newsletters from The Oil Daily Co., including "The Oil Daily" and "Natural Gas Week." These publications will add greater depth and coverage to the growing number of clients that INDIVIDUAL serves in the healthcare, biotechnology, and energy industries.
