INCONTEXT SIGNS VALUE ADDED RESELLER AGREEMENT WITH AUDRE INC.
VIENNA, Va., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- InContext Corporation (VSE: INI) and AUDRE Inc. (AMEX: ARS) today announced the signing of an agreement whereby AUDRE will sell the InContext(TM) Structured Document Processor along with AUDRE's document conversion and object recognition products. The agreement included an initial purchase by AUDRE of InContext licenses for $214,500 (U.S.). AUDRE will immediately commence sales activities for the U.S. Defense related customers who have indicated short term purchase requirements following the introduction of the InContext product at the CALS Expo and SEYBOLD '93 Conferences. As well AUDRE will sell the product to the customers it is establishing in the current implementation phase of the Department of Defense's Automated Document Management and Publishing System (ADMAPS) to convert technical manuals, engineering drawings and schematics for the Defense Printing Service. AUDRE recently announced a software licensing agreement with Eastman Kodak that expands the company's presence on the ADMAPS contract. Most organizations which use AUDRE's document conversion software are also engaged in restructuring and re-using the converted information and hence require advanced document processing software such as InContext. AUDRE chairman Thomas Casey commented, "The logic of this relationship is not hard to see. We convert the documents; InContext processes them. This agreement is another example, like our relationship with ADOBE Systems, of our commitment to providing our customers with the best products throughout the entire information cycle." InContext President Robert Arn added, "The AUDRE agreement is one example of our market entry strategy, placing our product in every major vertical market by forming a strategic relationship with market leading software vendors in the sector." Both companies indicated their intention of pursuing a close integration of their products. InContext Corporation specializes in enterprise-wide structured document processing systems. Its InContext product line is based on networked PCs running Windows 3.1. It offers powerful information creation and management capabilities with totally user-transparent maintenance of CALS structured document standards and easy interfaces to common PC word processors and desktop publishing systems as well as to UNIX publishing systems. InContext recently received a major grant from the Canadian Department of National Defense to support its development of advanced applied intelligence-based document processing capabilities for InContext's CALS software. AUDRE, a 10-year-old concern, is a leader in the field of automated information conversion. The company designs, develops and markets a line of proprietary applied intelligence-based software systems. AUDRE's products are used to convert engineering drawings, technical publications and maps into computer-intelligent formats. -0- 6/2/93 /CONTACT: Robert Arn of InContext Corporation, 416-922-0087/ (INI ARS)
