INAUGURAL CHINA HUAINAN COMMODITIES FAIR BEGINS IN AL HAIL.
The China Huainan Commodities Fair was inaugurated at the China Trade Centre, in Al Hail on Sunday in the presence of H H Al Sayyid Khalifa bin Taimur al Said, advisor to Undersecretary in the Ministry of Interior, H H Sayyid Mohammed bin Faisal al Said, H E Al Sheikh Ibrahim bin Yahya al Rawahi, Wali of Seeb, and Li Zhaohui, mayor of Huainan Municipal People's Government.
Speaking at the inauguration of the three-day event organised by Huainan in Anhui province of China in cooperation with Huainan Bureau of Commerce of China, Zhaohui said, 'Thirty Chinese companies are participating in this event.
'Products showcased include pharmaceuticals and medical apparatus, sporting goods, clothing and textiles, food and agriculture, manufacturing and construction materials, machinery, furnishing, interior design, white goods, and energy sector products.'
Jerry Shenhao, chairman, Chinese Community Club of Oman added, 'This is the first B2B overseas exhibition in Oman by Huainan, Anhui province, China. It also serves as the official inauguration of the China Centre, in Al Hail. I sincerely hope this will bring about a new chapter in Oman-China relations, further strengthened by the Belt and Road initiative, connecting the two countries.' As part of the event, a Huainan-Oman Economic and Trade Seminar was held at the Crowne Plaza Muscat, OCEC, on Sunday.
