THE annual South v North jockeys' football match, called off when the pitch at Worcester disappeared under water last month, has been rearranged for next Sunday, at Pegasus Juniors FC ground in Hereford. Kick-off is 3pm; gates open and refreshments are available from 1.30pm.
Cotswold BMW Hereford is sponsoring the event; the teams are sponsored by Arena Leisure and Ladbrokes, and at the request of the jockeys, proceeds will go to Liverpool's Alder Hey children's hospital's Imagine appeal.
Admission by programme is pounds 5 (pounds 1 under-16s). THE fourth edition of Health and Safety in the Racing and Breeding Industry, the guide to good practice, has been published by the BHA, with input from the Health & Safety Executive.
