IN HOME HEALTH, INC. ENTERS RALEIGH-DURHAM MARKET ACQUIRES CARESERVICES BUSINESS

 MINNETONKA, Minn., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- In Home Health, Inc. (NASDAQ: IHHI) has acquired the ongoing business of CareServices of Raleigh, CareServices of Greensboro and CareServices Limited Partnership, it was announced today by Judy M. Figge, president and chief executive officer of In Home Health. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
 "The acquisition of the CareServices operations represents In Home Health's entry into North Carolina and the Mid-South, its 14th major geographic market, and brings the total number of offices in the In Home Health system to 32," Ms. Figge said.
 "This represents our first move into the southeastern region of the United States where economic recovery and industrial growth clearly is evident," Ms. Figge said. "We anticipate further expansion into other geographic markets later this fiscal year," she added.
 CareServices has been providing home health services since 1989 and had revenues for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 1991 of approximately $600,000. The office will operate under the name of In Home Health.
 Metropolitan Raleigh-Durham is the nation's 54th largest market. In Home Health currently operates in 13 other United States metropolitan markets. Phoenix, Ariz.; Los Angeles and San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.; Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo.; Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Houston and Seattle. The company also operates infusion pharmacies in its Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Phoenix, St. Louis, San Francisco and Seattle markets.
 In Home Health provides comprehensive quality health care to people of all ages in their own homes. Home care is one of the fastest growing segments of the health care industry, currently estimated at $16 billion annually in the United States and expected to grow to $36 billion by the mid-1990's.
