IN BRIEF: United doesn't faze McDermott; EURO 2008.

NEWCASTLE face a daunting start to the new Premier League season travelling to Manchester United but Magpies coach and former Liverpool star Terry McDermott isn't worried.

Newcastle travel to Old Trafford on the opening day and a fortnight later head for the Emirates Stadium and Arsenal. But Kevin Keegan's right-hand man McDermott i said: "Let's hope we can cash in by catching them early on. And let's also hope that (Cristiano) Ronaldo, who scored five goals against us last season, is not with them come August."
